Why did it close

A few months ago on December 31st, the beloved Hamilton Bakeryclosed. Just weeks before, when the owners announced they would be closing they didn’t give a reason. But, it is assumed that the reason is because the owners of the family business were getting old and their kids didn’t want to take over.

How did people react to the closing?

For many the closing was very sad. The bakery had been open for 75 years and was known for their delicious donuts. As my grandma stated,I remember when I was a kid our family used to walk down to the bakery in the mornings to get donuts. There are lots of other people who have similar memories. So,on the last day of opening many people get up early to get donuts at the Hamilton Bakery for the last time.
